Universal vaccine could put an end to all flu
This September will mark the beginning of human testing for a vaccine which could potentially eradicate all flu.
“If any of the efforts to create a universal vaccine succeed, the benefits will be enormous. Even if flu slowly evolves to resist universal vaccines, and they need to be updated every now and then, they will still be a big step forward. Health authorities could combine flu with the other childhood vaccinations, greatly reducing the overall disease burden.”
