Universal vaccine could put an end to all flu

This September will mark the beginning of human testing for a vaccine which could potentially eradicate all flu.

Spanish scientists develop echo-location in humans

Daniel Kish and the late Ben Underwood, both blind, grabbed headlines in the past with their amazing echolocation skills - the bat-like ability to ‘see’ by sound alone.

Not scientists in Spain are showing early success with a new training protocol which promises to turn anyone into a competent echolocator in as little as two weeks.

The real shocker? The spatial resolution humans can achieve would seem to rival that of bats.
